Good types of martial art?
I've been looking for classes to take for self defence that has a little bit of trickery, strength and agility.Any suggestions?
I've considered Wushu, but I've heard that it's mostly only for performance and not really considered a combat type and that only some wushu schools teach combat techniques.
I'm in California, Santa Ana and I'm trying to find a place near me.
Thank you ahead of time!

Any and all martial arts are good. Go to Yahoo local, or yellow pages, and search for martial arts in your area, do some research on the arts, and try out the ones you think you will like best.
Good Luck!

All martial arts styles are good. I currently do Karate and looking it helps in all three strategy, strength (definitely) and agility. Basically Karate good if you want to finish a fight within seconds or a couple of minutes. Most of our fights last no more then 3 minutes.
Well that is just my point of view of point.

I would look at kick boxing, the best martial art would be something where you could pick up the style and basics quickly. You do not want anything over technical or fancy.
It would be also a good idea to look at your own abilities and think about what you are good at and then tie that with a martial art that amplifies those attributes.
