Default What do you think of IFL fighting?

I study taekwondo myself and love watching Muy Thai kickboxing... but IFL for me seems to rely on the shock value with the arm breaking holds, neck locks, and punching while your opponent is on his back... I just can't get into it.

LOL you are saying that the ground game is shock value but MT isn't! I think someone getting a kimora or rear naked is less shocking than someone taking an elbow or head kick that lays them out.

MMA is a great sport, it incorporates the best of a lot of martial arts. A great deal of MMA fighter come from traditional martial arts and karate background (2 champions in UFC come to mind), they just expanded its practicality and included more.

IFL production itself isnt too bad, i wish they would incorporate elbows and the editing of the show sucks. Much prefer the UFC free shows on spike, that are live (one on april 5th, and a free "PPV event" later this month on spike).
