I used to have a slice once but then I found a way to get rid of it. When you grip the golf club, move your right hand a little left. For your stance, have your left foot above your right and have a wide stance. When you swing, your swing plane should go outside and when you are on the downswing, don't swing down on it; swing through the ball and keep your head down. Look at your divot and it should look like it is straight or left for a draw. This advice should give u a draw shot but it can give you a straight shot as well. Keep practicing and ask your local pro golfer if you still have troubles. GOOD LUCK!

If you're slicing that means your swing plane is moving outside to in. If you're right-handed that would mean that your swing plane took the face of the club across the ball from right to left, imparting the slice spin.
You can confirm this by looking at your divots. When you slice you will have a divot going diagonally from right to left through contact if you're righthanded.
One thing that helped me was doing drills on the practice range to keep my back elbow locked in fairly closely to my body so that I couldn't swing my club out to an outside-in swing plane. I used to put a folded towel in between my back upper arm and my body to make sure that my arm would come down on an inner swing plane and I would have to pivot my body through with good wrist rotation to ensure that I got the face of the clubhead around. It felt awkward for a while until I got used to the new swing plane.
Obviously though, the best thing to do is to take a few lessons from a pro. He or she can analyze what you're doing wrong and give you drills to fix it.

There are 2 main causes of a slice:
1) an outside inside swing
2) an on plane swing with an open club face
You can tell which one you have by looking at the direction the ball starts. If you tend to hit the ball left and it slice back to the middle or right then you have 1. If you start the ball down the middle (or slightly right) and then it slices right then you have a 2.
Here are 2 suggestions for trying to cure your slice, one is a band-aid and neither replace a good session with a local pro.
To cure:
1) *Band-aid* Get setup as you would normally but before you take your swing move your right foot back a couple of inches. This will help you get you swing back on plane. Go see a pro as soon as possible to cure it properly.
2) Is often caused by a weak grip, strengthen your left hand, i.e. rotate it around the club until you can see 2 - 2.5 knuckles. The V formed by your thumb and forefinger should point to your right shoulder. This will help you square the club at impact. When taking your swing consider where the logo of you glove is pointing at impact - it should be pointing in the direction you want to hit the ball, e.g. at the flag. Releasing your wrists too late in the swing will also leave the club face open.
