Wow I never thought about that. Though I have never seen car racing, and I dont plan to... I don't think anything should be banned for the sake of banning. I don't think its banning would substantially lower the demand for gas.

i dont think theres a gas crisis, but anyway most race cars asphalt and even dirt (sprints, latemodels ect..) use alcohol.
