'Should Celtic and Rangers merge to create a
'unified' Glasgow (United)? I can think of so many reasons why this is such a great idea..
All the 'hatred' would subside making Glasgow a safer and happier place
Perhaps 'Glasgow United' would be good enough to make the Quarters in the Champions League?
Other teams in Scotland would have a greater chance of success with only 1 'superpower' in Country also an extra chance of European qualification.
I am struggling to think of a club in Europe who play in a royal blue and green home top, would look good and be pretty unique, can you tell me a team? Probably is one or two but can't think of one.
Imagine a new state of the art stadium, holding 100,000+, filled every game! I am on to something here
Wee Ger, I just watched an hour of it so had to get Ming Ming on the avatar.
This .. is.. se-wi-ous
Certainly get some nasty people on here in the mornings
I am deeply hurt

But what would they have to talk about on BBC Radio Scotland if they merged?
There's an interesting parallel to that rivalry in ancient history called the Nika Riots, in which teams of chariot racers became strongly associated with different segments of society.
Let's hope fans of the Celtics and Rangers never burn Glasgow down.

If any of your villages are missing an idiot I think I have found it!!
I would like to think they would be good enough to make the 1/4 of the CL when Celtic got to the last 16 last year alone. Royal blue and green, i'm no Gok Whan and I can tell that would look sh*t.

No, I hate football as it is but I can see that the diversity of cities from two football teams brings and the heritage behind it.
It wouldn't lead to peace and happiness for at least a few generations of reducationg the families of supporters, and you would simply mix the hatred of the supporters into one stadium end.
Merge one and why not merge the others. Everton, Liverpool, man utd and man city, Arsenal, Chelsea.
