I'm a Red Sox fan, too. As much as I'd LOVE to see it, I don't think this is our year. Here's my prediction:

AL East goes to Tampa Bay (I keep waiting for them to collapse, but so far, that's not happening...)

AL Wild Card goes to Boston (Yankees get an early winter vacation)

Boston gets eliminated in the first round of the playoffs, because they'll play the Angels. The Angels will go to the World Series, where they'll face the Cubs (although I'd really like to see the Phillies get in there...). I'll root for the Cubs, and the Angels will take them in 6 games.

But yes, what I'd LIKE to have happen is the Sox going all the way...just don't see it in the cards this year. :-( I hope they prove me wrong!!

CUBS,,,,let it be the Chicago Cubs....that's who I am rooting for.
beyond that..the Red Sox are a brave little team and I am sure they will do much this season.

They have a real shot at it. The Wild card that is. Unless all of the Rays are injured and the lose the majority of there games, they are almost a lock for AL east. Even then all of their players that are playing in place of injured players have made a big impact. Everybody just keep sitting back and wait for them to fall, its not happening. After all they have done this year, they deserve it. The Rays still have to play the Yankees, Red sox, and Twins, how well they play those games should show how they will play in the in post season. Depending on where they play is a factor too. The Rays have owned the Red sox, and the Angles as well, (Cubs too, just in case anybody is looking for that to be a WS match up. That would be played in Tropicana Field) at home this year. Longoria should be returning next week, and around post season Crawford will be back. So no they will not win the AL. Also Longoria should win rookie of the year over Jacoby.
