Default baseball batting and 1st baseman trouble. ?

i am 14 and 5'7 and for my high school jv team which is 1 month away i want to play 1st base i play once and a while but now every game so i need to know how you are suppose to scoop the ball where are you suppose to keep the glove to get ready to scoop it. also how can i be more flexible so i can stretch even farther.


and for batting i am hittign to much grounders i am hitting them hard but right at the player i want to hit more line drives so plz help also after i make contact i make the back leg L but i slide my back foot to my front foot right when i make contact i don't know why i do it so plz help.
