Not usually, but I've strung a number of racquets and sometimes there are hairline fractures that can damage your frame. Just check for that. When you take it in to get it strung next, a good stringer will look at it and tell you. I've pointed out a hairline fracture in the past and the owner told me to go ahead anyway. The frame broke right where the hairline fracture was.
